ONE DAY ONE HADITH Saturday, 3 Jumadil Beginning 1439 H / 20 January 2018 M Washing Hand Before Eating بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم كتاب الأطعمة باب في غسل اليدين عند الطعام حدثنا مسدد الله بن أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خرج من الخلاء فقدم إليه طعام فقالوا ألا نأتيك بوضوء فقال إنما أمرت بالوضوء إذا قمت إلى الصلاة. رواه أبو داود Meaning: From Abdullah ibn Abbas (d.68H) that the Messenger of Allaah (may peace be upon him) once came out of the toilet, then served food to him. The Companions asked, "Did not we bring you water ablution?" He replied: "For I am commanded to perform ablution when going to pray." H.R. Abu Daud (d 275 H) Istifadah: The background of this Hadith originated when the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam had just finished defecating, the Companions served the food.
